Vehicle identifiers do not belong in public URLs.

The current CarIntegrity preview collects no VIN or registration number. A future lookup must be private by architecture, not by a promise buried in policy text.

What this preview does in your browser

The free check-plan tool asks for broad buying context: region, whether the vehicle may be imported, and the concern you want to prioritise. JavaScript uses those selections to assemble a plan on the page. The application does not submit them to a server, write them to local storage, or place them in the address.

The application contains no advertising pixels, analytics tags, account system, newsletter form, or live affiliate tracking. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request metadata for security and operations. Before public launch, the owner must name the legal operator, hosting processors, jurisdiction, contact route, retention periods, and user-rights process.

Controls required for a future private lookup

Only the approved lookup service and provider receive it.

03Private response

No public cache, indexation, ordinary analytics, or sharing.

04Short retention

Delete on the documented schedule and honour corrections.

What CarIntegrity will not build

  • An owner-by-plate or owner-by-VIN search.
  • Public, guessable, shareable vehicle-result URLs.
  • VINs or plates in analytics, error trackers, logs, prompts, or fixtures.
  • A retained vehicle dossier without a lawful purpose and explicit user context.
  • Data sourced by bypassing access controls, CAPTCHAs, or licence restrictions.

Current limitations and contact

This is a non-indexable pre-launch review build, not the final legal privacy notice. The owner has not yet supplied a verified legal publisher or privacy contact mailbox. Those details are a hard requirement before public indexation or data collection.
